I know this time of year is pumpkin overload, but I'm here for it! Fall is one of my favourite times of the year, and this pumpkin spice smootie is not only delicious, but also nourishing and calming. I don't know about you but the energy in the air this month has been a little crazy and felt a little extra stressful. Adding adaptogens into your routine can be a wonderful way to not only nourish yourself, but to support your nervous system as well as your sleep.
This smoothie was our fifth and final recipe in our smoothie challenge, and man was it a hit! It's incredibly tasty and full of anti-inflammatory properties. ⠀
Beets contain phytonutrients called betalains, which help stimulate liver cells to eliminate toxins. They’re also a good source of fiber, which helps make sure those toxins make their way out of your body, if ya know what I mean. ⠀
This is my go-to morning smoothie because its fast, full of protein and herbs that support my immune system and offer natural, clean energy to go about my day.
